Summary of Case Completed By Specialized Investigations Group, LLC
 
Specialized Investigations Group, LLC assisted a Criminal Defense attorney in defending a juvenile. This child was involved in an altercation along with several other teenagers at a local park. One juvenile was charged with robbery from the incident and confessed. Hours later, a victim claimed to have been battered by our client during the altercation. Law enforcement were hours into their investigation and had obtained no information to substantiate this claim. A day later our client was arrested for robbery and attempted murder based on the claim of the one victim. Specialized Investigations Group, LLC reviewed the law enforcement reports and related documents. No other witnesses had indicated seeing this separate incident. Over a matter of days, our investigators located and interviewed a dozen juveniles who were present and all agreed to provide a statement to our investigators. These interviews revealed that not one person could confirm the lone allegation. Based on our investigative report it was apparent that law enforcement investigators had not located and interviewed all the witnesses. The juvenile had spent a year in jail awaiting trial on robbery and attempted murder charges. Within 10 days of our investigative conclusions, all charges were amended to a battery offense and the juvenile was released from jail.
